Richard Bliah
Richard Bliah became the first foreign architect to be licensed in Japan after studying at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts of Paris and the Polytechnic school of Waseda University in Tokyo. After working briefly in the construction engineering field, he went on to found Richard Bliah Associates in 1997. Through more than 35 years of practice in Japan, Richard Bliah has engaged in more than 120 projects domestically and internationally, gaining an extensive capacity to melt eastern and western design thinking and applying it to create high-performance and sustainable architecture.

Architect and researcher based in Tokyo. Director of the firm Richard Bliah Associates. AIA International Associate. Former postdoctoral researcher at the University of Tokyo - Kengo Kuma Lab - and architect at Nikken Sekkei. He designed - alone or in a team - more than 50 works of architecture and entered more than 30 architectural contests. He has authored several monographs, essays and articles on contemporary architecture and urban planning, such as: the book “Patterns And Layering. Japanese Spatial Culture, Nature And Architecture”; monographs on Toyo Ito, Tadao Ando and Wiel Arets; articles published on international architecture magazines, such as Domus and Compasses. Editor of Compasses since 2008. He has curated numerous events and exhibitions in Italy and abroad. Among the others, the exhibition "Intermediating patterns", at the Italian Cultural Institute of Tokyo. His current research focuses on the potentials of spatial layering and patterns in the sustainable architectural and urban design.

After graduating Architecture course at Musashino Art University, he started his career as a graphic designer at SEGA. From 5 years of working experience at SEGA, he obtained good graphic design skill as a professional. Then, he decided to come back to architecture industry and finished Master of Archtiecture course at Manchester University in the UK.The program is accredited by ARB (Architecs Registration Board), therefore, he is qualified as RIBA (Royal Institution of British Architect) part 2 assistant archtect. Soon after coming back to Japan, he experienced internship at Kengo Kuma's office, and now started his career as an architect at RBA.

With 17 years as an Architect, Miguel Puig has developed a wide experience through Japan, Dubai, Mexico, Canada and the UK. Leading architectural teams from concept to construction for a variety of schemes including mixed use, residential, civic, restoration, super high rise buildings and education.
Parallel to his professional experience, Miguel has continued updating his academic education. His latest studies in 2014 are masters in engineering at the University of Tokyo in advanced design and previous studies in 2004 are a Masters in Arts at the University of Nottingham, where he specialized in the design of sustainable buildings and utilization of renewable energy technologies. During several occasions, Miguel had the opportunity of one of the most rewarding activities in life, teaching architectural design invited by the University Anahuac Mayab in Mexico as design professor. One of Miguel’s hobbies is photography and he has participated in several exhibitions. He comments that living in Tokyo is one the best places to develop his hobby.
